Step 01

Plug into your EV

The Type 2 connector fits the charge port on Australian EVs. Click it in and the K4 checks the connection before any power flows.

Step 02

Plug into the wall

Screw on the adaptor you need: 10A for a standard outlet, 15A, or the optional 32A industrial adaptor for full power. Then switch on.

Step 03

Watch it charge

The colour screen shows energy, time, amps, voltage and power. Pick your outlet:

Set a delay timer (up to 8 h) or a kWh charge limit with the Time and Amp buttons.

With the optional 32A High-Power Adaptor and a 32A industrial outlet installed by an electrician.

Output figures are approximate at 230V single phase. Actual charging speed also depends on your vehicle and supply.

Questions

Quick answers

Will it work with my EV?

The K4 uses a Type 2 connector, the standard AC connector on EVs sold in Australia. If your car charges from a Type 2 cable, the K4 will plug straight in.

Do I need an electrician?

Not for a standard 10A outlet. For 32A charging you'll need a 32A industrial outlet installed by a licensed electrician. Always use a dedicated circuit protected by an RCD, and never use extension leads or double adaptors.

Can I leave it outside?

The charger is IP65 rated against dust and water jets. Keep the plug and outlet end out of the weather.

What warranty do I get?

Every K4 charger comes with a 2 year warranty, on top of your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
